Hebrew Verbs: Roots, Binyanim and Conjugation
A Hebrew verb is built from two parts: a root, usually three consonants that carry the meaning, and a binyan, a pattern that shapes the kind of action. The root כ-ת-ב gives you "to write", "to correspond", "to dictate" and "address". Once the system clicks, you start guessing the meaning of words you have never seen.
Go in order: binyanim first, then conjugation and tenses. Look up the forms of any verb in the dictionary and drill them in the conjugation trainer.
